Care
Dust the weave with a soft brush or a vacuum on its lowest setting. Rattan dislikes damp rooms, so keep it out of a bathroom. The cane will warm in colour over the years, which is expected.

The weave is open at the top and tightens toward the base, so the lamp throws light up into the room and keeps the glare out of your eyes at sitting height. It takes a weaver most of a day to wind one shade.
