Care
Vacuum the linen monthly with an upholstery head and rotate the seat cushions each season so they wear evenly. Covers can be washed cold and put back on slightly damp for the best fit. The oak legs take a wipe of hard-wax oil once a year.

One stubborn idea, held onto
Solen started as a request from a photographer who wanted to nap on her sofa without it looking like a bed. The seat sits four centimetres lower than a standard three-seater and runs deeper, which is the whole trick: it reads as a long clean line in a room and behaves like an armchair you can share.
